About
I’m an Inuit artist and designer from Postville, Nunatsiavut, a small community on the north coast of Labrador, and I’m now based in Ottawa. I work across painting and drawing, murals, sculpture, coin and medal design, 3D and game design, animation and motion design, and websites and online learning.
I started drawing at thirteen and moved into oil painting from there. Most of my paintings are realistic and come from my family and from life in Labrador. Over the past few years my work has widened into sculpture and mixed media designed in software and then fabricated, as well as photography, writing, and games.

I left home at eighteen for art school, but a medical issue cut that short. I spent the next five years working on the Muskrat Falls hydroelectric project. That project changed the land and water, and some of my work comes from that experience.
My commissions include The Journey for the Nunatsiavut Government, coin designs for the Royal Canadian Mint, the Nunatsiavut pin for the St. John’s 2025 Canada Games, a commemorative mural for the Aboriginal Women’s Association of Prince Edward Island, and a painting for the Arctic Inspiration Prize. My work has been shown at WAG-Qaumajuq in Winnipeg and at the Biennale d’art contemporain autochtone in Montreal. In 2024 I built the sculpture No Part Wasted from my lifelong painting easel and the palettes from every painting I had made.
Alongside the art, I have worked in digital media and education. I have written about video games and Inuit storytelling for the Inuit Art Quarterly, taught game-design and 3D workshops with Indigenous youth from Kahnawà:ke to Utsjoki, and worked as CTO and technical lead at Elumai. I now also take on animation, web design, and consulting. In time, I hope to bring what I have learned back to Nunatsiavut and help start community programs back home.
