MMIWG commemorative mural

2021 · Oil on canvas — mural · 8 × 18 ft

Confederation Centre of the Arts, PEI

Commissioned by the Aboriginal Women’s Association of Prince Edward Island. The mural depicts ten family members and friends of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls, each holding an object that connects them to a missing loved one. Before taking up the brush, Bronson studied photographs and listened to the families’ stories over several months. Recognized in a Ministerial Statement in the Newfoundland and Labrador House of Assembly, November 2021.
